Hi Jacob
Indeed something has to be done regarding provision of low cost technology to facilitate development but this requires some funding from international donors to kick start the project. Those involved in software development like Microsoft should be approached to chip in because hardware alone does not serve the purpose. It goes without saying hardware suppliers must be prepared to come down in their pricing for the project to become a reality. The bottom end is finding sponsors for project to become possible.
There is need for electricity to be made available down to the remotest areas of the countries and ensure costs are lowered as well. The project must not overlook need for qualified educators ro enable successful implementation of the project and this again will be at cost.
